I'm dying to make some of these with the random assortment of vintage & clearance-sale buttons in my life...damn you, Joann and Michaels, for closing your Antioch locations so I can't buy plastic canvas without committing to a 15-minute drive!

how cool are those! hmmm...do you have a dollar general or dollar tree nearby? kai got some kid's cross stitch things there and they had plastic canvas inside for the kids to cross stitch on. might be a good substitute until you are in the area of a Michael's, Joann, or Hobby Lobby!
